40/hr Backflow Workshop

Workshop designed for new testers seeking to obtain AWWA Backflow Certification.

  A course related to theory, applicable laws, rules, assembly design, testing maintenance to help qualify the applicant to proceed to the required certification examination.

Fees:  Workshop Fee is $ 1300.00. Total Fee is due by first day of class .

Class Limit:  This course will be limited to the first 20 students.

 TESTER CERTIFICATION APPLICATION TO BE FILLED OUT AND MAILED TO APPROPRIATE CERTIFYING AGENCY -MUST BE DONE BY STUDENTS. 

 TEST DATE FOR AWWA IS SATURDAY AFTER CLASS.

 EXAMINATION WILL BE GIVEN AT SAME ADDRESS AS CLASS.

WRITTEN EXAM IS COMPUTER BASED AND PERFORMED AT AN OFF-SITE LOCATION

  COURSE DOES NOT INCLUDE AWWA TESTER CERTIFICATION FEE.

Each Backflow Assembly Prevention Tester applicant must submit the following items to AWWA:

1) Completed application (all requested information)
2) Exam payment ($340 Members, $360 Non-Members)
3) A completed application which includes all requested information, and proof of qualifications, per page 4 of the Candidate Handbook.
4) Send all the above to the Section Office no later than 20 days prior to your requested exam date / location selection. 
5) Applications received by email may be processed faster.
6) Postal mail delivery delays and seating capacities may affect the availability of your preferred exam date / location (exams may fill up).
7) Consider selecting two dates on your application.

AWWA CERTIFICATION FEE IS $ 360.00 FOR NON-MEMBERS.  CONTACT AWWA OFFICE AT (909) 291-2100 OR INTERNET CA-NV-AWWA.ORG.  THE FEE AND APPLICATION MUST BE MAILED TO AWWA IN ORDER TO HAVE A TEST AVAILABLE TO TAKE THE REQUIRED PERFORMANCE EXAMINATION ON SATURDAY.

This Workshop is 5 days long for a total of 40 hours of combined class and wet lab instruction. We have 25 test stands so each student gets their own to practice.

Snacks & water are provided throughout the day.
